What story do you want to tell?

Everyone and everything has a story but not many know how to unlock and tell it.

Social history explores the experiences of ordinary people rather than the exploits of great men and ideas. In other words, it tells the everyday stories of most of the human population. It explores lives often dictated by the decisions and actions of those so-called great men. It covers childhood, family life, housing, education, labour, health, crime, industry, poverty, gender, recreation, transport, and exploitation, among other themes.

A lot of people are unsure where to start when it comes to researching, recording and writing their own history or story. Some may already have done some research but are hamstrung by the process of getting it down in writing. Others may simply have a box of family or business documents and photos they would like to explore further.

Hello
